WHAT’S ROBBO PARK

HOW IS THIS EVENT BEING FUNDED
Council has received funding under the Open Streets Program, part of the NSW Government’s Vibrant Streets Package, to temporarily close streets to vehicles for a day, or a series of days, and open them to people with placemaking activations. The Open Streets Program aims to inject vibrancy into our streets and help create thriving local places that support businesses, creative sectors and the community through events and activations. This funding cannot be used for anything other than the event we applied for. Orange City Council has provided co-funding, in the form of in-kind support with staffing for the event and already-owned infrastructure. We have also teamed up with some amazing sponsors.
Why do we have to get a ticket if this event is free?
This is for two reasons. The first being that it helps us keep track of numbers and how many people to expect. The second is the basic data tickets provide. For example, we want to know where people came from and their ages. We will also send out a post-event survey asking if you support Orange City Council doing bigger and better events. Please complete it. It gives us important data to help us improve and demonstrate the importance of thriving events to our community.
Can I bring my own food or alcohol?
Please leave your eskies at home but bring your camp chairs and picnic rugs. We have plenty of great food for purchase and, being a licensed event, alcohol will be available to purchase.
Is Zest Fest a family-friendly event?
Absofruitly – guests under 18 must be accompanied by a guardian or responsible adult at all times.
Zest Fest is a family-friendly day out with live music, sunshine and good vibes for all ages, plus plenty of kid-friendly food options and a dedicated kids’ entertainment area to keep the little ones happy.
What happens if I can no longer attend?
Please, please cancel your ticket. This makes attendance considerably easier to track.
What is the capacity for the day?
Capacity will be determined on the day, but we expect it to be around 7000.
Why does my ticket have a time allocation?
As this is a free event, it is difficult to manage attendance. When tickets are free, the expected drop-out rate for an event is 50 to 60%. To try to manage this, we will make a certain number of tickets available pre-event. The condition of these tickets is that entry is only guaranteed up to a certain time. If, as expected, we get a 50% drop-out, we will open tickets to the public again at 5pm, meaning there should be plenty of opportunity to come if you didn’t get a ticket pre-event. If you pre-register for a ticket, and arrive after 5pm, your ticket is still valid, but admission is subject to the capacity of the event.
What happens when the event sells out?

Is there parking at this event?
No, we are beholden to the infrastructure already in place in our city. Please either get dropped off or leave your car at home and walk into the event.
Are dogs allowed?
We know dogs are often part of the family but Robbo Park with thousands of people, loud music and food outlets we’ve made the call that doggos are best missing out on this gig.
Are there cash machines at the event?
No, there will be no cash machines at the event. Most, if not, all, vendors will be cash free.
Why is the event being held on our streets?
This event has been made possible by the Transport for NSW Open Street Program. The purpose of this grant is to temporarily close streets to vehicles for a day, or a series of days, to open them to people with placemaking activations. What happens in the event of poor weather?
In the event of poor weather, you will be notified a few days prior to the event of the move to our weather-contingent venue, the Naylor Pavillion at the Showgrounds. Please also keep your eyes peeled on socials for updates. In the event of the move our capacity is going to be reduced considerably, unfortunately this is unavoidable. In this instance admission to the event will be on a first come, first served basis. The conditions of your ticket will still remain.
Can I smoke/vape at Zest Fest?
Zest Fest is strictly smoke and e-cigarette free. If you wish to smoke or vape you will need to leave the event area and do so away from the queues. Please dispose of your butts responsibly.
